Tyler Mullendore – Tuesday’s Oct 16 and 23 – (All Genres)

“Tyler Mullendore was born out of the whiskey-drenched blues jams of his father’s Cape Breton home. Those formative years shaped his desire to play, his need to perform, and his natural ability to express himself through music.

Heavily influenced by his parents’ classic rock and blues vinyl collection, Mullendore was the tender age of four when he first began to play piano. By age six he was playing his way through Elvis songs on guitar and began writing his own by the time he was a teenager.

Still in high school, he began performing with his own band, L.A. Speedway, named after his uncle’s stock-car track from the late 80s/90s: “Lake Ainslie Speedway.” Confident and motivated, Mullendore kept pushing himself as he appeared on the 2007 season of Canadian Idol and placed fourteenth at age 19. Taking what he learned from his Idol experience he returned home, driven and determined.

After a stint in Calgary, the rough ‘n tumble roots-rocker has settled back home in Nova Scotia with a matured, introspective approach to his music, which is championed in his debut single “Make It Through”.
